This year, focus on treating yourself!
Have a DIY spa day
Invite some friends over (or not), get some face masks and relax! There are so many DIY face masks that you can make on your own, and while you do so, play some of your favorite music and just breathe. Once that face mask is on, you can meditate, or take a bath and read.
Go get some sunshine and simply disconnect
Social media is a major part of our daily lives and sometimes might cloud our minds, which is why you should just take a break and disconnect. Go outside (which is something most of us don’t do that often) and take a walk. It is so easy to go to a local park and simply breathe in the fresh air and admire your surroundings. It is so important that we keep our minds clear so that we can continue with our day stress-free.
Clean and organize your space
In order to keep your energy flowing and your mind clear, the area that surrounds you needs to reflect the way you want to feel. Therefore, dedicate time organizing your room or even start small by cleaning up and sorting out your desk. As a little plus, you can clean out your closet and donate the clothes that you no longer wear to charity.
Listen to some motivational TED Talks or podcasts
YouTube is packed with inspirational and uplifting videos and TED Talks that will help you get through the day, or through a rough patch in your life; there is always something out there that will make you feel a little bit better. Even if you don’t want to listen to a speaker talking about how to love yourself, just watch a conspiracy video of Shane Dawson or anything you might find interesting. Just enjoy life, you know.
Spend some time doing one of your favorite hobbies
Another way to disconnect and focus your thoughts is by dedicating a certain amount of time from your day to do something you love. Try to draw, paint, read, embroider...just do whatever makes you happy.
At the end of the day, pause and reflect
There is no other better way to wrap your day than by just taking a deep breath and simply appreciating your life. Remember, take it one day at the time.
